Ascend Makea, a part of Alightance Pte Ltd company, is a honorable member in setting another benchmark in shaping this creative space. In December 2024, it becomes one of the first co-design studio office in Singapore to offer a mixed use of co-work space and maker space to hobbyists, families, solopreneurs and green tech enthusiasts.
Ascend Makea’s founder has experience in entrepreneurship, product development, project management, design thinking education and his upbringing in an artist’s family allowing him to sense make what is needed for the clients to succeed in a professional studio environment. The founder reflected over his expertises for some time and lately fused them into his conscious maker’s series to guide the culture of Ascend Makea Studio today.
Alightance. How so?
The word is implied to mean a state of showing excitement and happiness. It is pronounced as “Aligh-” and “-tance”. We coined the word as it sounds alike to the word “Enlighten” which means greater knowledge and understanding about a subject. The word “Alightance” also carried the word “Alight” and “alight on” means to find something by chance. We want our members to discover things in their design pursuit.
